Amazing bridge

There was a really good documentary on the construction of this on Discovery or TLC and month or so ago. It's located in southern France, and is the highest bridge in the world. It is a truly amazing piece of engineering, especially considering the method used to span the distance between the piers.

It connects france to barcellona and has something like a million cars a day drive over it.

That's pretty impressive when you consider how many skyscrapers are shorter than 787 feet.

When I was a teen we used to get drunk and go "bridge jumping" in the middle of the night. It's quite a rush jumping off a bridge in complete darkness when you can't see the water. Especially when your 100 feet up because you just keep waiting to hit the water and it seems like an eternity. But I don't think I could hit the river under that bridge without getting blow off course, and let's face it I really don't need any more injuries
