Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 15 | Hmmm, I'm not sure about any medical labling of 'subdivisions' to the circulatory system. Veins and arteries is the only thing that comes to mind... The lymphatic system runs parrelel to the veins. Or the 'subdivisions' could be divided between organs and vessles- Heart, lungs, kidneys, liver, spleen in one division, and veins, arteries, and lymph in the other. "The cardiovascular organs are the heart and the vascular systems. Apart from the lymphatic vessels, the vascular system transports blood. The cardiovascular system consists of the heart together with a body circulation system and a lung circulation system, consisting of a network of arteries and veins. These are required to maintain the vital blood circulation. The major (body) circulation system supplies all the organs of the body; the exchange of gases takes place in the (minor) lung circulation system. These two circulation systems form a figure of eight one behind the other, with the heart as motor at the intersection in the middle." Sorry I don't know what you're looking for.

Recipes: 0 Rep Power: 64 | The two subdivisions are the cardiovascular and lymphatic systems. Cardiovascular is the heart; blood vessels. The lymphatic system is a system of vessels that collect lymph, which is essentially blood plasma, to scour it for possible infectious agents... immune effector cells hang out in large numbers in the lymphatics and this is where the majority of immune responses are generated. When the lymph fluid has passed through the lymphatic system, it is returned to the blood stream through the thoracic duct, which is where the cardiovascular and lymph systems merge at the subclavian ven.
